Hoover CH3000 This Vaccum ROCKS!!

Hoover CH3000 This Vaccum ROCKS!!
My husband and I put in wood floors and I was looking for a stick vac to help with the dust factor. My husband found this vaccum on Amazon and printed out the info for me. After a week of reveiwing online, going to the stores and sample the usability of the other vaccums we choose this Hover. It is great! It goes underneath all my furniture and works great even picking up large items. It works great on picking up lint and pet hair on the throw rugs also. Our home is a 2 story with 3000 sq. ft. The cord is long enough to vaccum all the wood in the living room, dining room, entry and halls plus I can vaccum the tile in the kitchen, laundry room, the 1st down stairs bathromm and the upstairs bathroom with out moving the plug. I used the vaccum to clean out the light fixture in my kitchen and then to dust the blinds. My 9 year old son even used it to vaccum all the down stairs for me. YEA! I put sheep skin on the shoulder strap just to make it more comfortable. I moved the hose from the vaccum area to the blowing area and blew the flower pedals and leaves off the front porch. The blower is not as good as the yard one but it saved me time and this helps to keep the floors cleaner. I used it on the stairs to pick up small things but I use my big vaccum for the carpets. This is a great vaccum for wood, tile floors spider webs and blinds. It is light weight and all the attachments fit inside a small kids shoe box. I absolutly love it!

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum GREAT PRODUCT.

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum GREAT PRODUCT.
we had the very same unit from when i was a teen - it is now with my ex-wife and still running strong! This is the exact unit and I expect to get 30+ years out of it too - it works great!

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum Quest for the Perfect Vacuum: SUCCESS at last!
As a person with serious mobility issues and a passion for clean floors, I've been looking for a vacuum that would perform up to my expectations, handle quantities of dog hair and dust on both bare floors and area rugs, and yet be light enough that I could handle it, and not injure myself in the effort. I've tried nearly everything, and without exception, nothing up to now worked out as I'd hoped. I've had various upright vacuums, including Kirby, Bissel and Dirt Devil, but after my back injury and advancing arthritis, such machines were too heavy for me to manage, and I found the excess teenager and dog hair caused frequent belt breaking. I switched to "stick-vac" type machines and tried assorted versions. Again, the weight became an issue, plus I was not satisfied with the suction or durability of these machines. They might work fine on the wood floors, but left my area rugs still coated with hair and dust. My attempt at the Roomba was a great thought, but the Roomba was no match for my four dogs. I spent more time cleaning hair and dust out of the machine than I did getting my floors clean. I tried a manual push sweeper, and even the Swivel Sweeper. They were great in theory, but the former's wheels and brushes gummed up too easily and were hard to clean out, and the latter had similar problems, plus the "cordless" machine would not hold a charge. I was beginning to believe I was doomed to shabby floors. Then I tried one last time here at Amazon. And I found the Hoover PortaPower!

What a wonderful machine! It's so light that even gimpy and disabled me can carry it (at least for short stints). If I get tired, I can always hang the machine on my rollabout walker. It's quiet too: my husband no longer feels the need to rush out of the house when I'm vaccuming. The machine is well made and sturdy, and I love the metal wands and selection of attachments (all easy to switch out in an instant.) I don't mind that the attachments are not stored "on board". I was always knocking them off when I had them that way on other machines. Now I put them in a little bag and can carry the bag from room to room as needed. I can get between and under furniture with ease with the long wand and slim profile..and the floor/rug head swivels well. I like the hose, too. It's not so long I might step on it or get it hung up on things as I move about the room, and like the rest of the machine, it's study and durable. I also like the long heavy-duty cord; I don't have to stop and change outlets all the time. With a 33 ft. cord I can plug in at a central location and reach all of the main areas of my house: living room, den, kitchen, hall, plus my bedroom, both bathrooms and laundry room. The PortaPower does a great job on the area rugs...no more coating of hair and dust! And on the wood floors it can't be beat. The reusable cloth bag is small, but holds a lot, and is easy to clean (no more paper filters!) I also ordered the disposable bags and adapter, and am very pleased. Changing the bags is a breeze, and I appreciate the cleanliness of the disposable option (dust cups might sound like a great idea, but they really are a pain, the filters wear out quickly, and dust flies everywhere when emptying.) Storing the machine is easy, it's about the size of a briefcase. The cord is stored by winding it up in looped bundle and securing it with a little strap on the vacuum's handle. A bit unwieldy, but not a deal breaker. Oh, and speaking of handles: the "on/off" switch is within easy reach, and one can either use the shoulder strap or carry the vacuum by it's handle on top of the machine. Whatever feels more comfortable for you (remember: the machine is very light!) I really cannot say enough good things about this product. It's given me the independence to keep my floors up to my standards, and that makes me very happy. Highly recommended!

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum Great suction for those who hate uprights

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum Great suction for those who hate uprights
I just received my new Hoover Commercial Portapower, and quickly put it to work on my heavily dusty rugs, hard-wood floors and furniture. I love it. I put the shoulder strap on, attach the correct attachment, and I'm off. I cleaned my whole apartment in about an hour - all with just one bag change.

If you hate uprights, like I do, this may be the vacuum cleaner for you. It reminds me of my old Kenmore Canister that died about 5 years ago, after 20 years of great performance. I have since had two TERRIBLE uprights, that I am now ready to chuck in the trash.

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum LOVE IT!

Hoover CH3000 Vacuum LOVE IT!
This little hoover was for my aunt. I have one, my daughter has one, most of my friends have one because we all love it so. My aunt wanted a small sweeper for the steps and was going out to buy one. I told her that I would order one for her and that she would love and she does.
It has really great suction, the best of any sweeper I have ever used and it has a very long cord, which makes if great for ceilings and steps and it is not very heavy.
I bought one like it in 1971 and pretty much wore it out, though it still works, the hose were getting very loose and replaced it with a new one in about 2005.
Love it.

Hoover CH3000 BEST BUY

Hoover CH3000 BEST BUY
I have had my Hoover Portapower vacuum for 30 years now, YES- 30 years! Still works great, but have had to use tape to hold the wands together ( connection finally wore out after 30 years)....and had replaced the cloth bag two years ago. WE USE THIS THING FOR EVERYTHING...from floors, to walls, to cars and furniture....you name, we have used it. My oldest daughter tried to take it with her when she got married last year....caught her! This thing is older than her!! She's 24, my vac is 30! It still sucks as good as it did the day I bought it 30 years ago! I am keeping my old one for the garage, but its time to get a new one for the house.....I wouldn't waste my hard earned money on any other brand.
Hoover is the only brand my parents used when I grew up, and that's all I have ever used. Their quality speaks for themselves. Looking forward to another great product from Hoover. I will not get rid of the old Portapower, as it still works well...just retiring it to the garage and bringing in a new one for the house!

Hoover CH3000 BEST PRICE, Great little vac

Hoover CH3000 BEST PRICE, Great little vac
This is a great little/light vacuum. It is especially good for hard surfaces. I live in a four story house and being able to carry the vac on my shoulder from floor to floor really speeds up the job. The extra long cord allows me to do a whole floor with just one plug change. It's suction power has handled everything encountered so far (from dust to kitty litter) and I can do all four floors before having to empty the filter, which is very easy to do.

Hoover CH3000 Good quality, good price, good suction, small, light weight. Nice

Hoover CH3000 Good quality, good price, good suction, small, light weight. Nice
I really like this vacuum. We just had hardwood floors installed throughout our 2 bed, 2 bath condo and the installer suggested we get a shop vac to simply and easily clean the floors. So I did - big mistake. That thing is huge, I can't pull it around without bumping into all kinds of walls, corners, furniture, the cord is really short, so I have to unplug/plug it in multiple times to vacuum my 1100 sq ft condo. Plus the shop vac takes up a ton of valuable closet space. Plus the shop vac has such a large caliber hose that the suction is really weak and it doesn't do a good job of picking up anything on the first or even second pass.
This vacuum is the opposite: small, portable, has strong suction and makes me much happier to vacuum. I hung it up in the closet by the shoulder strap and put the sturdy handle in the closet corner (and put the shop vac in the storage unit for when we have an actual need for a shop vac). It comes with nice attachments too. You just put it on your shoulder like a shoulder bag and go. And the electrical cord is super long, so I didn't have to unplug/plug in multiple times. It got dirt in corners and along walls really well. Time is an issue, and this vacuum is easy to get out, easy to use, and easy to put away, making it more likely that I'll vacuum my house more often.
One thing that I would like to have seen different is a more spine-friendly design. The shoulder strap really should be more of a back-pack style strap because after vacuuming my place, my neck/shoulder (trapezius) muscle was really sore. It also doesn't get under low furniture as well as some other vacuums I've used, but I'm willing to give that up for all the other really great things about this vacuum.
I love the hose - it coils back on itself so it's not hanging on the ground and in the way when you vacuum, but it does extend to reach places. It also makes it nice for storage - again, because it's not a floppy mess all over the closet floor. Hopefully the hose keeps that tight coil/spring throughout it's life in my house.
I've only had it a few hours and used it once, but so far I really like it and am impressed.
I'm glad I bought this vacuum and so far, would definitely choose to buy it again.
